WTF IS A POEM 001

      

If you ever wanted to write but are afraid to do it, this is the class for you! If you ever wanted to be a poet but do not know what a poem even is, this is the class for you! If you want to join workshops but don't even know what that even means, this is the class for you!

In this class students will discuss what makes a poem a poem, discover easy strategies to make pretty poems, study good poems, share their work with classmates, recieve written and oral feedback! Anything but basic.

Warman School of Death

Sections 001 & 002

 

Two sections (First Timers [001] and Repeats [002]) of this course are offered. Students use writing to process death, consider their own funeral arrangements, share writing and creative projects, discuss taboo topics and more. There are readings of death from around the world including Japanese death poetry, Tibetan Book of the Dead, lesbian death rituals in Australia, among others. Students will look at death directly in the face and observe the ways it impacts all of life.

Warman School of Erotics

Sections 001 & 002

 

 

Based on the teachings of Audre Lorde, this class centers the body as the source of all creativity. Each week focuses on a different sense. Movement and bodily activities are recommended, prompts and readings provided, and there is time to workshop the writing of classmates. Students will receive 5 weeks of recorded guided meditations to spur the creative senses as well as written and oral feedback.
