DEBT

This class explores the erotic relation of self to debt. How does debt change how we desire? How does debt itself seep into our bodies, and pour all over everything we do? We will study erotics and explore our bodies as a way to fantasize out of our own debts both literal and metaphorical. In this space, debt is not what you think it is. What does debt say about how we do everything? Is there a debt jubilee in our future? Where are you holding debt in your body? There will be group writing activities, discussion, space to share and readings by people such as David Graeber, Audre Lorde, Catherine Liu, Omar El Akkad, The Debt Collective, and others.
